1.White Night
When the sun no longer sets
When the air is warm through the night
When the midnight fires burn
When the tribes will gather
When the knives will shine again
When the words of hate will spring
When the night is white
When the morning never comes
When the dreams are all disturbed
White night
2.Old Bark
The sun shares it's last rays
A river bathes under the spell
A piece of bark floats across the rocks
As a starling bids farewell
She sinks behind the tree tops
And the starling takes his leave
The piece of bark floats onwards
'Til a lake so cool and deep
Surrounded by a ghostly mist
The old bark now stands still
A choir of nightly birds
Sing their lullaby until...
A clan of men in iron
Make their way along the shore
Of steel and shining armour
The trees stand still in awe
Yet another human herd
Their end this night shall meet
But the piece of bark cares not
When sinking into the deep
The moon now appears
In the sky above the woods
The blood of weakling peasants
Nourishes the roots
An old pine at the river bank
Once again his skin sheds
A piece of old, dry bark
Drops to the river bed
The pale moon still glimmers
The river bathes under the spell
A piece of bark floats across the rocks
As the night bids farewell
As the night bids farewell
3.Hibernation
Starlight flickering
A fire in the night
Human misery
The ultimate source of strength
Peripheral glimmering
Of the growing flames
Hibernation
Veins hot with eternal blood
The subtle sound
Pyre crackling
Drifts of snow
Slowly melting away
And returning to ice
Surrounded by steam
Inhaling nocturnal fog
Beasts howling at the moon
Nature buried under snow
Breathing silently
Under the frost
Under the frost
Hibernation
Might veiled for centuries
Sleeping with passion and patience
To be once awakened
By malicious call
Of a starless eternity
An entity free of form
Darkness without breath
4.Forever North
Blazing winter fires
Unforgiving frost
Snow blinds the eyes
That seek for light
Hopes are suffocated
Under a pillow of ice
Every breath a razorblade
Carving in the lungs
Born to bare the legacy
Born of stronger blood
Stubborn customs of pride
Heritage of honorable men
Both sword and greed
Have drowned the wisest of men
Hiding the rage inside
Never uttering the miseries
Blazing winter fires
Forever north
5.Crystal Lakes
For decades now
These pools have served
As mass graves
For my sacrifices
In the spring
My senses awake
And I greet
The blessed souls
Of those that I have chosen
Selected from the ranks
Of mediocrity
This is the pit
That I have dug
Here is where I drink
... and drown
Here I nourish
The sheep's heart
During the tides
With moon's passion
I have quenched my hunger again
Now wandering amidst the crystal lakes
The journey has no direction
The soul is already home
6.Before
There used to grow moss
On this rock and on those firs
Darkness used to comfort
Under their branches
Between those cliffs
A creek once streamed
It's water too cold
For lips to touch
Behind the heavy clouds
A sun used to shine
Bright as it's wintry gleam
Reflecting from melting ice
In the barren hut on the shore
The rain now drums the roof
In silence I mourn
Of the loss on my kin
What has become of this land
When was the spirit slain
Where now stand the ancestral shrines
Why was the heritage abandoned
That which once flourished
Must now in ruins lie
But from this wretched soul
Old ways never die
