4.The Strums
The image on the board
Selling days we can't afford
But we're still buying up in a frenzy
Cause our hearts just yearn for more
Is this it; all we want is offering's we've got?
But soon you'll be overrating us
Oh people, they can't be good
when what comes next on the market should
But we go on 'cause it's understood
But you can only hope when they say that they want you..
Yeah they'll say that they want you, when they don't.
It's like a chandelier
It's like a fountain-head
The strings are all burnt (on earth?)
A chain-link fence to convince you
The things at which you stare
Or are 'cause they don't care
About you
Kill when you're what you've done
You're fooled by everyone
But soon you'll
go get your daddy's gun
And go out to re-collect
from all the guards that you put in debt
It's time you learned that you can't un-change
what you forget
And you will always think when they say that they want you
When they say that they want you
when they don't
*instrumental bridge*
You wait but some days never come
Your prophesizing here is done
You're only left with what you gave in
Then told you can't be going your way
The others wait till they're OK
They're only left with what they gave
So, children kill your teachers
Kill your parents
Then kill your preachers
Cause we know that they only will doubt you
when they start to lose their features
It's OK that they're gone
Torturing (Sung as 'Tortur'n') you is all they want
And Lesson learnt, and lesson taught
You just know what they forgot
Is they didn't get to find out what we solved
The vocals on this song are very difficult given that a portion
of the words are
spoken much more softly towards the end (almost thrown away) and
become very easily
mistaken. I have listened to the song intently a few times from
start to finish to
verify the quality of the lyrics, but with the grammatical
errors in the song it
is made much harder.
